ANTHONY Dennison threw a car battery through the window of a private hire vehicle after an exchange of words with an employee of the firm.

Blackburn magistrates heard that the employee of A and B private hire gave chase and detained Dennison, who began to cry and said 'leave me.'

Dennison, 28, of Ciceley Court, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to damaging a car aerial and a windscreen and was remanded on bail for the preparation of pre-sentence reports.
