This week, with SHEENA EWING, principal and chief executive of Blackburn College

MEMORY: Falling downstairs when I was two years old and getting some chocolate to console me (sugar was rationed at the time, therefore chocolate was a real treat). I'm not sure if I then tried to fall downstairs again!

JOB: Babysitting and working on the shopfloor of a large retail firm in Glasgow during the summer holidays.

CAR: A little red Mini

AMBITION: To go round the world. I've not yet achieved it but I do try and travel, time and money permitting (with or without family!).

HOLIDAY: A caravan holiday with my mum and dad at Littlehampton (we lived in London at the time). I was aged about four. I remember lots of sunshine, lots of swimming and lots of ice cream.

HEROINE: Catherine the Great of Russia. She retained her independence, made a tremendous impact and she had lots of money and lots of fun.

PET: I never had a pet until about five years ago when my younger son insisted on a goldfish but, as I feed it and clean out the bowl, it is probably mine.

ALCOHOLIC DRINK: It was beer which was shared with other teenagers and which we bought from a railway buffet.

EMBARRASSING MOMENT: Being called "Sir" when I was teaching part-time in an all-boys school and not being quite sure how to take it!

RECORD: The Young Ones by Cliff Richard. I still don't know why on earth I bought it.
