JAMIE Diffley's column (LET, July 12) was cynical about National Vegetarian Week and had complete disregard for people whose concern is for animal welfare.
If he wishes to eat meat, that is his choice. But why the criticism of people who care about millions of creatures slaughtered each year for human consumption?
Don't disrespect their reason to educate the public on alternative eating issues.
