POLICE in Burnley are appealing for information about an incident in which a car hit an oncoming vehicle in Red Lees Road before driving off.
They said a silver Vauxhall Cavalier lost control near the entrance to The Hollins house, in Red Lees Road, and collided with a red Rover travelling in the opposite direction towards Cliviger.
The incident happened at 9.35pm on Friday and no one was injured.
Police are keen to speak to the occupants of a car which was travelling in front of the red Rover, which was thought to be a dark blue Nissan Micra.
Sergeant Eric Marshall, of the road policing unit, said: "The driver or passenger of the third car may have seen the incident so we would like them to contact us.
"Other witnesses said they were two females and they stopped at the scene and checked the driver of the Rover was okay before leaving.
"Fortunately there weren't any injuries but we do need more information about what happened."
Anyone with information should contact Sgt Marshall on 01282 472431.
