A MOTHER of two told a jury she was allegedly raped by a married man as her children slept upstairs.

The woman, who claimed Javid Ali had sexually attacked her three times before, told a jury he had kissed her so forcibly her nose bled, taken off her catsuit and underwear and had sex with her against her will in the early hours.

The alleged victim said she had struggled with the defendant but did not scream as she did not want her children to come downstairs.

Ali, 38, of Brocklehurst Avenue, Accrington, who is also accused of twice molesting another woman, denies rape and two counts of indecent assault.

Questioned by Mark Lamberty, prosecuting, the woman said she had gone out at 6.30pm the night before. She said she went to a nightclub and left about 2am. She had been drinking bottles of WKD.

She went to bed when she returned home. About 10 minutes later Ali came to her home and she eventually let him in as he said he needed somebody to talk to.

The woman told Burnley Crown Court the defendant said he had had an ecstasy tablet and some cannabis and they chatted for a while.

Ali then got hold of her hands, lifted her up and put her on the settee.

She claimed he then knelt on the floor and kissed her, hurting her mouth and nose. Ali then unzipped her suit, leaning on her legs so she could not do anything.

Ali stopped when she noticed her nose was bleeding and was "shocked." She alleged she tried to calm things down and they had a bit of a chat.

The woman said she was going to sleep and the next thing she knew, Ali was naked and climbing on top of her.

She struggled, but the defendant had sex with her even though she had "told him no all night." He then got dressed and started to go and she went to bed.

The woman said she made a complaint to the police about 24 hours later. She told the jury she had sex with the defendant before but it had not been consensual.
