I WAS disgusted at the report (LET, July 16) of the college lecturers wanting to refuse to teach a Burnley BNP councillor.
Like it or not the BNP were voted in and this should say something of what the people of Burnley really think about the way the town is going.
The lecturers' trade union's attitude is typically left wing -- wanting to dictate to people what they should believe in and for whom they should vote.
Let people make their own minds up about what is good and what is bad. And let us hope that if these lecturers decide not to teach Carol Hughes, they will also refuse to teach people with left wing beliefs. Fair's fair.
