A SNAPPILY dressed thief conned his way into a Ramsbottom pensioner's home.
The man, wearing a dark coloured suit and a shirt and tie, called at the George Road home of an 82-year-old woman at 5pm on Friday (July 12).
After asking for a glass of water and while the woman was distracted, he entered the house and stole a purse containing a small amount of cash before fleeing.
The thief is described as a white male, aged in his mid to late 20s, 5ft 10ins, of medium build with a round face and dark short hair.
