A BODY found in a ditch near Skelmersdale is that of missing Preston biker Gary Strickland.
Diabetic Mr Strickland, 27, disappeared while on a motorcycle ride on Saturday, July 13. He had no medication with him, and police feared for his safety.
His usual route was through Croston to Parbold Hill, and back again along the A59, but he failed to arrive home.
Gary, from New Longton, was riding a yellow Kawasaki ZX6R Ninja motorbike and was wearing a silver/grey Belstaff jacket, black leather trousers, and a black helmet.
An inquest has been opened but no date has been set for the full hearing.
