I WAS quite taken aback when I read about lecturers at Burnley College considering strike action over having to teach British National Party Councillor Carol Hughes (LET, July 16).
They didn't have a problem with teaching her two years ago, so why has anything changed now that she has become a BNP councillor? She is still the same person she was then, still holds the same beliefs and viewpoints.
People are also trying to stop the BNP spokesperson appearing in a debate on Granada. Granda are quite correct in saying that all viewpoints should be allowed to be aired.
