AFTER being put into bat the Ribblesdale openers put on a steady start until Rain was unlucky to be run out after a full blooded drive from Nawax was deflected onto the stumps.
This brought Hall to the wicket, who occupied the crease pushing singles and giving Nawaz as much strike as possible.
This partnership had gone to 92 when Hall called for a quick single and was run out for a fine 37.
Peel came to the crease and tried to push the scoring along, but was caught by the wicket keeper after mistiming a drive.
With Nawaz striking the ball so well, singles were the order from the other batsmen, but Howard had other ideas driving and pulling the ball to all areas of the ground compiling 58 runs off only 39 balls which included three huge sixes.
Nawaz finished with a superb 114 not out off 136 balls as Ribblesdale set a total of 239-3.
Unfortunately the rains came and Read never got a chance to bat.
