ALTHOUGH I feel that there is great need for Asian Awareness Mela in Blackburn, I was disappointed by the functions and content of the recent one in Corporation Park.
It did not present anything for the older Asian generation. It had nothing to offer to the local host community to create better understanding.
This Mela was surely great for Asian youngsters. It gave them freedom afterwards to drink alcohol freely, loudmouth and show off, and create havoc on Whalley Range after the event.
