LADIES slip on your bobby socks, gents dig out those ol' suede shoes and join Blackpool's Grand Theatre for a Sixties spectacular!

As part of the theatre's Sunday summer season, The Grand is hosting Reelin' And A Rockin', a show that aims to leave you hoarse from singing, exhausted from dancing and sore from laughing.

The line-up for this right Grand rock 'n' roll spectacular reads like a who's who of Sixties stars.

The show features Gerry Marsden of Gerry and the Pacemakers fame, Dave Dee of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, The Cruisers' Dave Berry, Brian Poole of The Tremeloes and The Searchers' Mike Pender.

Special guests The Nolans lend the show their graceful feminine touch, supported by the show's own Big Beat Band. Naturally, with such a parade of top performers the show is peppered with fabulous hits including I Like It, Twist and Shout, The Legend of Xanadu, Do You Love Me?, Sweets for My Sweet and I'm In The Mood For Dancing.

And you'll definitely be in the mood for dancing if you see this show, promises a Grand theatre spokesman. "This show is going to be a sure-fire hit with audiences young and not-so-young alike.

"Reelin' And A Rockin' also boasts a five-piece band and a sound and light system that will take your breath away."

It's on this Sunday and every Sunday until September 1. All shows start at 7.30pm and tickets cost from £10 adults, £5 children. Call the box office on 290190 for more details or to book.
