POLICE are appealing for information after a man was knocked from his motorbike in a hit-and-run accident.
The incident happened in Skipton Road, Earby, at 9.10am on Tuesday, when a silver old-style Ford Escort pulled out of School Lane on to the main road.
Police at the road policing unit in Colne said the driver failed to give way to on-coming motorcyclist Darren Richardson.
Sergeant Russell Gregory said: "He came out of a side street on to the main road and clipped the motorcyclist, who fell to the floor. He then drove off towards Foulridge."
Mr Richardson, 17, of Bar Street, Burnley, was riding a Honda 125cc motorbike.
He suffered grazes to his hands and elbows and two large cuts to his right knee, but refused hospital treatment.
Anyone who saw the incident should contact PC 1290 Derek Scott on 01282 472542.
