WHEN in Rome, do as the Romans. So when in Ibiza, party where the workers do -- and check out Burnley legend Paul Taylor in the process.

He has taken his Retro brand -- born in the early 1990s as the old Angels night in Burnley began to take off -- out to the White Isle for the third year running.

After the first year out there, the Rossendale-based star was named best newcomer to the island by Mixmag.11

Retro's popularity last year has earnt Paul a top-level set-up at Eden every Wednesday.

Paul said: "It is the event the workers go to as well as the holiday makers. I take that as a big complement because they know all the clubs inside out, work six days a week and have Wednesday off to come to our event. You can't get better than that."

The success of Angels -- which worked on the principal of playing classic house tracks and making anthems out of tracks which were often never released -- has led Paul and his fellow Retro DJs to have a handful of residencies across Britain.

"In Ibiza, I often get people coming up to me and saying they used to come to the Angels of old and what a shame it was that it went.

"It will never be the same atmosphere as in Angels but the music has a life of its own and fills every place we go. The music creates the atmosphere,"

said Paul.

Wednesday night at Eden is also home to to funky house masters Head Kandi.
