A GANG of thugs battered and kicked a man unconscious before stealing his money during a vicious robbery on the Middle Walk in Blackpool.

The 46-year-old victim was approached by three thieves at 10.50pm on Monday, July 15. When they asked him for money he tried to run away but they caught up with him.

They struck him on the head several times with a blunt instrument before kicking him on the floor until he was unconscious. The thieves then stole money from his pockets and made off.

The first offender was male, about 25 years old, 5ft 10ins tall with an athletic build, tanned complexion, and closely shaven, light-coloured hair. He was clean shaven with noticeably high cheek bones. He was wearing a pale blue vest type T-shirt with no sleeves, jeans, and scruffy white trainers. It is likely this man was blood-stained.

The second offender was also male, 25 years old, 6ft tall and slim. He had a bushy, black moustache, prominent front teeth, and he was wearing dark clothing and a dark woollen hat.

The third male offender was also aged 25. He was 5ft 6ins tall and slim, with a rough complexion. He was wearing dark clothes and a black woollen hat.

A KNIFE-WIELDING robber and his accomplice threatened staff at a shop on Talbot Road, Blackpool, before making off with cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

The two offenders entered the shop at 9.15pm on Sunday, July 14. One was carrying a serrated knife, and both threatened shop staff before stealing the money and various cigarettes.

The first offender was male, white, around 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build with short, brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a dark hooded parka type jacket, dark trousers with a white stripe, white trainers and was carrying a serrated knife.

The second robber was male, white, 5ft 9ins tall, with brown, short, scruffy hair. He was also wearing a dark hooded parka type jacket and a dark fabric-type mask (not a balaclava).

A THIEF attacked a teenager in broad daylight on a Blackpool street before stealing his cash.

The attack happened at about 1.45pm on Tuesday, July 16, as the 16-year-old victim was in Bright Street, Blackpool. The thief approached him and demanded his money but the teenager refused and the man then attacked him. Fearing for his safety, the teenager handed over his cash and the thief made off in the direction of Lytham Road.

The offender was described as an Afro-Caribbean male, in his mid-twenties and 6ft 1in tall. He was wearing blue jeans, a black leather jacket, a dark Nike baseball cap and black Rockport shoes.

POLICE are looking for a thief who conned his way into an 89-year-old woman's home before stealing her shopping bag.

The man, around 16-20 years old, knocked on the pensioner's door on South Lawn, Blackpool, at 1.20pm on Monday, July 15. After getting in he stole her fawn-coloured leather shopping bag, which contained an umbrella and various papers, and made off.

He was described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall with fair skin and dark hair and he had a local accent. He was wearing a white, short-sleeved shirt and navy trousers.

A THIEF stole a 46-year-old woman's mobile phone as she was using it outside the Waterfront night club, on Blackpool Promenade.

The woman had just left a night club at around 2.15am on Sunday, July 14, and was walking south along the prom using her mobile phone when a man approached her from behind. He snatched her phone, a Nokia 6210 with a black fascia, before running off.

He was described as white, around 6ft 2ins tall and of average build, with short, dark hair. He was wearing a white, short-sleeved T-shirt, dark jeans and light coloured trainers.
