THE £250,000 expansion of a soft furnishings company has been given the seal of approval from Rossendale and Darwen MP Janet Anderson. She said: "The development underlines just how successful Musbury Fabrics has become.

"This is a thriving business which has become a well-loved national name and the new complex is a reflection of the direction the company has been going. It's a credit to management and staff.

"As the local MP I am delighted they were able to find somewhere in Rossendale which could accommodate them after what is a tremendous success story. Though it remains a family firm, working in a traditional Lancashire industry, Musbury Fabrics is very much a 21st century business."

The MP was speaking after she officially opened the company's new office and factory development in Helmshore, along with former England rugby skipper Bill Beaumont

The textile retail and manufacturing company has converted an old mill into a state-of-the-art office and factory complex.

In addition to the mill shop chain, Musbury Fabrics also boasts a successful mail order business, a state-of-the art website and fast-developing contract division.
