THERE was a thriller at Centre Vale where Bacup clinched victory in the last over against Todmorden.
Set 195 to win, Bacup needed four to win from the final over delivered by Todmorden skipper Nigel Hunter.
The first delivery was signalled a wide, the second produced a wicket (Bacup's eighth).
However, as the tension built, Bacup took a single off the next ball and then Hunter bowled a no ball, which also produced winning overthrows to give the champions a slender victory.
Earlier, Todmorden opener Richard Baigent (46) and substitute professional Clinton Peake (41) had laid the foundations of Todmorden's 194-9. Bacup professional Shaun Young bagged 6-74.
In reply, Matt O'Connor top scored with 45, but it was Terry Lord (27 not out) who steered Bacup to the winning line. Steve Oddy with 5-63 was the pick of the Todmorden attack.
South African ace Andrew Hall scored a sublime century at Bacup Road to lead Rawtenstall to a one-sided win over Accrington.
In a perfectly timed reply Hall scored a memorable 112 not out, as he and fellow opener Jamie Carter (49 not out) steered the hosts to a 10-wicket victory.
Hall's 50 came off 46 balls, his 100 off just 76 and in total he hit 14 fours and three sixes.
Earlier Accrington were bowled out for 169. Professional Andre Seymore scored 61 and Paul Clifford clubbed a rapid 48 while Keith Roscoe picked up 6-46.
