A TEENAGER accused of snatching a handbag from an elderly woman has been committed to the Crown Court for trial.
Haroon Rashid, aged 18, of James Street, Bury, is said to have robbed the 74-year-old during an incident earlier this month in Whitefield. A handbag and its contents worth £110 were allegedly taken.
Rashid, who was appearing before Bury magistrates, will attend a preliminary hearing at Bolton Crown Court on August 6. Bail was given.
