POLICE have appealed for witnesses to an attack that left a 22-year-old man with head and facial injuries.
Gareth Jones, of Accrington, was assaulted twice in the space of 20 minutes at the weekend after visiting Opium nightclub, in Willow Street, Accrington.
Police have not revealed his full address because of the nature of the incident.
The first attack took place inside the club just before midnight on Sunday and officers say there were probably two other people involved, a man possibly accompanied by a woman.
Mr Jones then left the club and went to sit on a wall opposite Baileys Cafe Bar, on Church Street and was attacked again.
