BORROWDALE United kicked off the new season with a derby -- their two Under 15 sides met each other in a very close-fought contest.
United ran out 2-1 winners over Colts. Scorers were Jack Livesey and Danny Parker, Liam Ashworth was man of the match and Dan Whittaker also played well.
Colts' scorer was Danny Endicott and their man of the match was shared by Paul Leyland and Ryan Rukin.
The Under 13s beat Brierfield Celtic 1-0, Chris Walker scored from a glorious shot from the edge of the box, Josh Maxwell was man of the match.
