A COUPLE posing as gardeners tricked their way into the home of an 85-year-old woman and stole a ring worth £100.
The young man and woman called at the house in Rectory Green, Prestwich, and told the woman that they were students earning extra money working for the local authority as gardeners.
The ring was taken after one of them asked to use the toilet.
