I CERTAINLY do not agree with the mother (Bury Times, August 20) who said that pointed metal railings should be banned after her daughter injured her leg climbing over some.
This girl should have used the gate as she had been told to do. People pay an awful lot of money for this type of garden railing and can well do without children climbing over as they think fit.
Children risk getting hurt by climbing over any fencing, therefore they have no-one to blame but themselves.
