ROVERS striker Ciccio Grabbi is fast becoming the darling of Ewood Park after his second goal of the season - but he would have swapped it for the victory last night.

"It was good to get a goal, it was my second time in Europe and my first goal in Europe.

"But it would have been better to win. However, there is another match and it is possible to win in Sofia."

The Italian striker admits to now enjoying his football after the disappointment of his first season at Ewood where he failed to settle following his £6.75m move from Ternana.

"I do feel good. I have a better mentality this season, I am a lot more confident, I work hard in training and I understand what the English lifestyle is all about now.

"I think when I play, the people can see that I am different, that on the pitch it is a different Ciccio Grabbi.

"I have a good feeling when I am playing and I am happy.

"I would like to also score in Sofia.

"But it doesn't matter what competition I play in - Europe, the Premiership, the FA Cup, the Worthington Cup - they are all important to me, every game is important and I want to score in every game."

Even though Rovers might be without the injured Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole for Sunday's visit of Leeds, Grabbi feels he can handle the pressure of being the main man to get the goals.

"It is not a problem for me. I hope Dwight plays on Sunday as I would prefer to play with him but if not, there is no pressure. Pressure is when you are not playing."

And he admits to being impressed by the way he has won over the Ewood faithful.

"It is nice when I can hear the fans call my name. I love it. It is important for me to hear that."
