NELSON made it through the second qualifying round of the FA Vase after their victory over Evenwood Town with all the goals coming in the first half.
Andy Howarth opened the scoring for John Bailey's side after just five minutes before Kristian Dinsley equalised on 20 minutes.
But Mark Smith soon restored Nelson's lead four minutes later - and the Blues held on for the win.
