STAN Ternent is ready to sign Lennie Johnrose on another month long deal as he looks to strengthen his options in midfield.

And to that end he has this week invited the latest trialist to Gawthrope for training, defensive midfielder Eddie Fal.

The 24-year-old Frenchman began his career at Paris St Germain and has also played at Dutch side Feyenoord.

"We are always looking at different players and it does not mean he will necessarily stay here," said Ternent.

But the Burnley boss is planning to keep Johnrose for another month at least with the deal hopefully completed today.

"I'll be speaking with Lennie and I should be sorting something out," he explained.

The 32-year-old was not involved against Bradford at the weekend but he has figured regularly since his return to the club a month ago.

The fact he was back in training yesterday was the clearest indication that he is still needed at Turf Moor and he admitted: "I think I have done enough to get another month and we will just have to see how it goes from there.

"The manager has said he will sort me out and I am happy to be here."

The lack of options in the middle of the park has been a problem for Ternent who does have more decisions to make in both attack and defence.

Johnrose has already featured in six games this season but with money still very tight it remains to be seen whether the name of Fal will ever be on a Clarets team sheet.
