THE funeral of ex-Mayor David Caley took place on Wednesday afternoon in the Isle of Man.
Mr Caley, formerly of Leigh and for 11 years a Leigh East ward councillor on Wigan MBC, died last Friday.
Mr Caley, who was also operations manager for the North West Water Authority, a Wigan magistrate and chairman of Wigan NALGO, discontinued his council duties when he moved to the Isle of Man. Donations in his memory can be made to Age Concern and forwarded via Mrs Caley, Kilmuir, Ballure Promenade, Ramsey, Isle of Man, IM8 1NN.
