AFTER wondering if the girls would carry on playing as well as they did in second half last week against Blackpool it did not take them long to answer the question.

From the kick-off the girls wanted the ball and went on the attack straight away.

The girls up front Charlotte Bolan, Charlotte Gregory and Nicola Rawlinson all went close with chances that had been created with some excellent football.

The first goal came midway through the first half when Toni Holderness picked up the ball just inside Hindleys half she went past one defender then another before dispatching her shot into the net.

To Hindleys credit they did not give up under the pressure that Preston were putting them under. This was a great first half performance by Preston. Score at half time 1-0 to Preston.

The second half started and Preston carried on as they had in the first half, winning the ball and passing to each other.

The second half was about five minutes old when Preston got their second. Good work by Danielle Boyle on the left created yet another corner for Preston. An in swinging corner from Lisa Barnish put the keeper under pressure who could only parry the ball to Toni Holderness who slammed the ball into the back of the net for her and Preston's second.

At the back Ruby Davis, Danielle Moran, Lisa Barnish and the outstanding Roseanna Jackson coped with Hindleys attackers very well, they stopped almost everything getting through to Carissa Ionnene in goals.

Charlotte Bolan scored the third goal a goal she thoroughly deserved. She had seen numerous shots well saved by Hindleys excellent keeper. This was Preston's best performance so far this season with the girls playing some great football
