EWOOD pranksters David Dunn and Garry Flitcroft were up to their old tricks once again at Brockhall this week.

Dunn was seen craftily putting up posters around the training ground which contained pictures of Flitty and geeky character Gareth from TV comedy hit 'The Office' under the headline 'Separated at Birth.'

However, as fast as Dunn was putting them up, Flitcroft was sneakily tearing them down, promising revenge in the process.

So Dunny can expect to find a few kippers in his shoes at some point during the next seven days at the very least!

Rovers stars in the mix

ROVERS' impressive demolition of Newcastle United last Saturday saw four members of Graeme Souness's side included in the Opta Team of the week.

Martin Taylor and David Dunn were obvious candidates for the line-up after masterminding the win over the Magpies with two goals apiece.

And there were also places for Lucas Neill and David Thompson after both players shone in what was only Rovers' second home win of the season.

BLACKBURN Rovers will be wearing their away kit at Celtic next week and from next Wednesday fans will be able to do exactly the same at long last.

The new red and black strip goes on sale from 9am next Wednesday at the Rover The Moon store at Ewood.

But if you can't get down to purchase yours in person then you can always log on to www.roverthemoon.com and buy it on-line.

As reported in previous Ewood Beats, the kit launch had to be put back due to production delays.

MacBig mistake!

ROVERS administrator Nasreen Hussain felt slightly embarrassed last week after failing to recognise Newcastle legend Malcolm MacDonald.

Nas was carrying out her normal pre-match duties when she had to politely ask 'Super Mac' who he was when he got in touch about a Press pass for the game.

However, Nas later consoled herself with the thought she was obviously too young to be expected to remember the Geordie genius.

FORMER Ewood great Alan Shearer was conspicuous by his absence in a recent poll to find Britain's Greatest Sportsman of all time.

Shearer, who scored his 300th career goal against Rovers last week, didn't even make the top 100 which is an absolute sham when you consider that David Beckham came third.
