ONCE again, Graeme Souness is making his excuses and telling us how much effort and so much good football the Rovers are playing.

I very much disagree because this team made Celtic look like world-beaters when, in fact, they were just an ordinary team.

If he thinks that the Rovers made just two mistakes, well he was not watching the same game as me against Everton.

I believe he tries to justify his signings by playing them no matter what. Let's face it, our two full backs are pathetic (I exclude Curtis).

I could not believe we had three strikers on the bench against Everton. What has Gillespie got to do to get a full 90 minutes?

We are so lob-sided, and every team that comes here knows it. Stop Damien Duff by putting two men on him, and the danger is gone.

I feel David Dunn is not playing his own game, but rather a set pattern.

Our set pieces are pathetic, also. From one free kick against Everton in their half of the pitch, the ball went back to our goalkeeper. Backwards and sideways is the way our midfield plays.

What of Cole and Yorke? Well Manchester United must be laughing all the way to the bank.
