COLLEGE leavers in Pendle received certificates for their hard work during Nelson and Colne College's annual awards evening last night.
College principal Kath Belton praised the students for their high pass rates in the A-Level and AS-Level examinations, as well as in the re-sit GCSE programme and vocational programmes, which were above the national average.
They also achieved success in competitions including a national chemistry contest, the final of the Nestle Toque D'Or competition, the Golden Trident Award for year 11 students the National Final for cross country.
Students also did well in football, netball, hockey, rugby, trampolining, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and cross country.
Various charities have benefited during the last year including the search and rescue team for RNLI and Children in Need.
Mrs Belton said: "These examples demonstrate the measure of how the college add value to our students experience in order that they succeed and maximise their potential."
