BOLLYWOOD blockbuster Devdas is India's official entry.
But it has now got some serious competition from Great Britain and Bangladesh to gain an Oscar nomination for the best foreign language film at the Oscars. Matir Moina, which won the critics award at the Cannes film festival is Bangladesh's official entry. Directed by Tariq Masud, the movie is set in the pre-independence arena of the 1971 war after which Bangladesh was formed.
