THE Starlight Children's foundation, which makes dreams come true for terminally ill youngsters, will receive £700 from Darwen's School of Kung Fu tonight.
Eighteen members took part in a "kick-a-thon" and managed around 50,000 kicks in a single day to raise the money. Ray Heeks, event organiser, said: "The cheque was a real achievement for everyone who took part.
"The charity helps terminally ill children attain their dreams. It can be to go to Disney World or to swim with Dolphins. And I'm happy we've been able to help such a worthy charity."
The cheque will be presented to a representative from the Sudellside Neighbourhood Centre at 8.30. A range of awards will be handed out to children from the club.
