DARWEN MP Janet Anderson today revealed she has written a letter to the Highways Agency complaining about the Blackburn Services sign on the M65.
Mrs Anderson, who is currently in London, was informed of the campaign against the sign earlier this week and made an immediate decision to help.
She said: "I will get a letter off to the Highways Agency immediately because the people who have complained have every right. They are absolutely right.
"The service station is in Darwen."
So far, a number of residents and councillors, including Coun Karimeh Foster, Whitehall ward and Paul Browne, Sudell ward, have spoken out against the sign.
To complain to the Agency, write to Roy Wood, The Highways Agency, Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester, M1 4BD.
