THE Zone Rangers are on line with a UK first.
An elite group of cyber-pupils from five Leigh Education Action Zone schools have launched a unique website.
Twenty committed youngsters spent many hours after school in the St Thomas CE computer suite preparing the groundwork within the innovative EAZ Gifted & Talented ICT Club.
Working alongside EAZ advisory teacher Lesley Fitzsimmons and St Thomas IT manager Brian Slater, their mission was to design, build and maintain a website for children produced by children.
The five to 11 year olds from Hindley Green J&I, St Thomas CE, St John's Infants, St Joseph's RC and St Gabriel's RC succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.
Delighted Leigh EAZ project director Alan Dutton said: "This is a truly groundbreaking and exciting venture."
