Towns such as Blackburn and Burnley should be moving forward but such an event has set everything back years. The mainstream political parties must think long and hard why people have decided to vote against them. Something, somewhere has gone terribly wrong.
Like most BRITISH people I do not blame any problems of in our inner-cities on Asians and Afro-Caribbeans. Like most BRITISH people I also do not believe that our future is one where we do not mix and do not have integration.
Britain can do without these racist attitudes. We can see what effect such views have had in Oldham and Burnley and we need to make sure it doesn't happen elsewhere.
I believe our future is one where both communities work for the betterment of the our towns and cities together.
