LEIGH RMI ladies got back to winning ways with a 5-1 demolition of Blacon Youth.
RMI were always in command in the first half and opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a surging run and quality finish from player of the match, Louise Sumner.
The lead was doubled with a fantastic solo effort from Joanne Wood 15 minutes later. The last goal of the half, again, came from an excellent burst of pace from Sumner.
Nic Jones found the back of the net for RMI to make it 4-0. Blacon pressed and RMI were caught napping at the back, and made it 4-1 with a deft chip over the advancing Leigh keeper. Scoring was concluded with another fine Sumner run to give her a hat-trick.
