Please, no grandiose schemes for the West End of Morecambe.
If the terraces and boarding houses can be made into flats and bedsits at a reasonable rent, why be so eager to demolish them?
Surely some, or even all, of the empty shops on Yorkshire Street and elsewhere could be made into living accommodation too.
I often travel on the bus with young mums with babies in prams.
They wear no coats even in this bitter weather and lack parental skills.
A lot of them live in the West End and they will need a great deal of support from the rest of the community in order to survive.
