AN ambitious new initiative aimed at providing primary and secondary schools across Lancashire with free, lightning-fast internet access, has been launched.
Just 20 per cent of schools in the UK currently own a broadband connection.
Broadband is expected to revolutionise education, providing schools with a reliable high-speed connection to the internet -- up to 140 times faster than with a traditional dial-up connection.
Broadband For Schools has been organised by provider easynet and will work through each new business customer collecting vouchers which they can donate to the school of their choice..
