VOLUNTEERS are still being sought by the Darwen Churches Action group to deliver furniture to people in need.
The Christmas period is an especially busy time for Darwen's largest local charity, which says young families and people in their first home are in particular need of help.
Bob Kearney, manager of Churches Action, said: "Two of our volunteers will be leaving early next year and we urgently need to replace them so we can provide a full community service.
"We help a wide range of people from pensioners to people in their first homes."
The group is also looking for people to donate bedding, pots and pans to the community.
The charity receives up to 20 calls per day and makes around 50 deliveries each year.
Prospective volunteers must be able to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
