WALKERS could soon be able to enjoy a break at a new cafe which looks likely to be opened at Clough Head visitor centre, Grane Road, Haslingden.
The centre is already popular with hikers walking around Calf Hey and Ogden Reservoirs, and owners United Utilities want to expand it and extend opening hours.
The centre opens between one and three days a week -- but the proposal is to open seven days.
The centre will offer somewhere to eat, drink as well as a place to gather information.
A planning application submitted to Rossendale Council will be considered at the January meeting.
