A LOOK at the key moments from the game against Aston Villa.
ROVERS:
BRAD FRIEDEL: Excelled himself with a couple of important saves in the first half but, generally speaking, it was another quiet day at the office...7
LUCAS NEILL: Up against Villa's best player in Gareth Barry but played his part in an excellent team performance with a solid defensive display...7
JAY McEVELEY: Must have an excellent chance of keeping his place against United tomorrow after turning in another assured performance...8
MARTIN TAYLOR: Soaked up everything Villa tried to throw at him as Dion Dublin barely got a kick up front...8
ANDY TODD: Given a rare start at the back and he didn't let anyone down on the day. Solid defensively and always tried to use the ball intelligently...7
GARRY FLITCROFT: Typically tenacious in midfield as Lee Hendrie and Mark Kinsella were rarely given time to settle on the ball...7
DAVID DUNN: Had his best game in months. Full of energy and invention down the left and played a crucial part in three of Rovers' four goals...8
NEIL DANNS: Supplied a couple of a dangerous crosses from the right and he doesn't hide when things aren't quite coming off for him...7
EGIL OSTENSTAD: Caused plenty of problems for the Villa defence with his physical approach and his clever movement...7
DWIGHT YORKE: Revelled on his return to Villa Park. Outstanding in midfield then when he moved up front, he weighed in with two well taken goals...9
MATT JANSEN: Great to see him back in the first team. Capped a lively performance with two striker's goals which should do wonders for his confidence...8
