RAMSBOTTOM Music Festival will be staged in March for people of all ages to try their hand at winning a trophy and perhaps going on to appear in a prestigious local concert.
The festival takes place from March 20 to 23. There will be various categories for competitors to enter.
These will include Organ, Choral, Piano, Recorder, Electronic Keyboard, Classical, Strings, Brass and Woodwind. The organisers are anticipating lots of interest and a bumper entry.
The winners of some classes will be invited to perform at a special Gala Festival Concert to be held at Woodhey High School, Ramsbottom, on Saturday, March 29, at 7.30pm.

No entries will be permitted after noon on Saturday, January 18.
The festival is affiliated to the Federation of British and International Festivals.
