A THEATRE company is set to wow the crowds with an action packed brand new performance of the "Scottish play".
Leyland's C'est Tous Theatre Company have pulled out all the stops for Shakespeare's classic Scottish play.
Authentic costumes and real swords will help to bring the world of the treacherous highland lord to life.
The group has even worked with specialist Andrew Blake, who has a degree from the British Academy of Dramatic Combat, to make sure the sword fight scenes are as authentic as possible. They will also hit the road to take its unique brand of Shakespeare to 200 schools across England and Wales.
The schools will be able to choose from three Shakespeare plays -- Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night.
C'est Tous' team of touring actors, known as 'Say Two', will begin travelling this month, to help teach youngsters Shakespeare.
Schools with the plays on their syllabus could be in for a visit from the Leyland group.
Mr Houston said: "There will be two teams on the road this year. Eight actors will be touring round 200 North West schools.
"They do three plays, and the schools can then ask them to do different ones. It's a fabulous way to get children into Shakespeare.
"We slightly edit the length, but use traditional weapons and costumes to make them exciting to watch."
Matinee performances of Macbeth can be seen at the Marsden Theatre, Worden Park, from January 27 to February 14. Evening performances run on February 6, 12, 13 and 14.
