CLIVIGER Parish Council is to purchase 'smart water' to mark stonework in the village. AS part of the new procedures for audit of council accounts, Mrs A Harris has been appointed as internal auditor for the parish council.

FOLLOWING a request from a resident to keep poultry on a council allotment, the parish council has decided to uphold the current rules which do not allow the keeping of livestock on council land.

THE wooden structures on Mount Lane sportsfield have been removed and the area tidied, the remaining disused storage buildings are scheduled to be removed in the near future.

COMPLAINTS have been received regarding the 'bend arrows' on Burnley Road between Todmorden Road and the railway bridge. These have recently been installed and protesters claim they have been badly positioned. Lancashire County Council will be asked to consider re-positioning them.
