MEN armed with a kitchen knife raided a bookmakers in Prestwich.
The three men ran into the Tote bookmakers at the Longfield Centre, on Bury New Road, and pushed over staff before grabbing cash and making a getaway in a waiting Escort car which had been stolen two days earlier from Manchester city centre.
It was later found abandoned in Rainsough, Manchester.
The robbers are described as 18 to 20 years old and the man brandishing the knife had light brown hair shaped into a distinctive v shape on the forehead.
DC Tony Hough, of Whitefield CID, said: "This attack happened extremely quickly but there would have been a number of witnesses.
"We believe there were at least 10 people in the shop and we are particularly keen to speak to them."
No one was injured in the incident, which happened on Friday afternoon, but detectives would like to speak to any witnesses.
