FRIENDS of Bold Venture Park had a helping hand from more than 20 volunteers in a tidy-up session to clear rhododendron bushes.
Julie Manton, secretary of the 50-strong Friends group, said: "Everyone did a fantastic job and it was great to see so many people turn up. It managed to open up some of the nicer views."
Countryside Services bosses from Blackburn with Darwen Council worked with the group. At a Friends meeting tomorrow night, members will decide on future dates for volunteers to help out.
