A VISION for 2020 was discussed at a conference aimed at producing ideas for a community plan.
Rossendale's Community Conference, held at Alder Grange High School, Rawtenstall, on Saturday, was organised by the Rossendale Partnership to bring together delegates representing the health services, housing, education, police, Groundwork Rossendale, the council and voluntary and community groups.
The event was arranged in conjunction with government plans to see all boroughs formulate a community plan which is created by the people.
Delegates looked at where Rossendale falls short, but also where it has areas to be proud of.
Dennis Taylor, of Bury Groundwork Trust, chaired the conference, offering his experience of 34 years working with various local authorities. He told delegates that Rossendale had a 'great future' locally and nationally because of it's services and businesses.
There will be other opportunities for people to help shape the future of Rossendale at events yet to be organised.
