POLICE are calling on clubbers to help trace a man who attacked a 20-year-old on his way home.
The Padiham victim suffered a fractured jaw and head injuries in the attack in St James's Street, Burnley, near the Cross Keys Pub, at 2am on Sunday. He is now awaiting surgery.
Police are looking for a key witness who gave a statement at the scene but failed to provide his name.
PC Lisa Bennett, said: "The man was approached by a group of lads and attacked by one main offender.
"We have been provided with a description of him by a key witness who failed to leave his details.
"We would urge him to get in contact with us as soon as possible to help us with our line of inquiries."
The offender is described as having short-cropped blond hair and was wearing a long sleeved cream shirt.
