PROCEEDS from one of Darwen Library Theatre's most popular nights will go towards eradicating polio worldwide.
Organised by the Rotary Club, the showing of the Darwen Movie Story (part two) was enjoyed by more than 400 people last Thursday and Friday. Proceeds from the first part, shown last year, went to Derian House Children's Hospice.
Geoff Tolley, Rotary member, said: "Darwen Rotary Club is part of an international organisation which supports worldwide projects.
"At the moment we have decided on a large project to help eradicate polio from the face of the earth and the proceeds from the Thursday night show will go towards this cause."
Local Rotary charities, such as Derian House, will also benefit.
