AN evening of blues and poetry is being held at St Peter's Arts Centre, Fylde Road, Preston. Stephen Morris and Dave Reeves are stopping off in Preston with their Black Country Blues show.

The evening, starting at 7.30pm on Friday, February 7, blends pop culture, poetry and blues music.

THE next recital hosted by the Harris Music Club is by pianist Murray McLachlan, on Wednesday February 12. Featuring pieces by Beethoven, Chopin and Schubert, doors open at 1pm at St George's Church, Lune Street. Tickets are £5.

LINE dancing classes, by Julie Carr, are being held for all levels of skill at Whittingham and Goosnargh Sports and Social Club, Whittingham Lane, Preston, from 8pm to 10.30pm, on Wednesday nights. For information ring 07776450866.

THE Caribbean Cricketers Reunion Committee is holding a Valentine's Dance on Saturday, February 15. The dance starts at 8pm, at the Sports and Social Club, Kent Street, Preston. Tickets are £2.50.
